2. The biggest difference may be the price
Demanding dental treatment can be expensive in the Nordics. The cost of several implants, crowns or a full-mouth rehabilitation in particular can run to thousands or even tens of thousands of euros. In Georgia the cost level is clearly lower, which is why high-standard dental care can also be offered considerably more affordably.
One thing is important, though: do not compare the price of a single implant alone. Compare the real cost of the whole trip.

3. Digital dentistry makes treatment more precise
In modern dentistry a large part of the work is done digitally. Our partner clinics in Tbilisi may have the following methods available, for example.
3D imaging
The jaws, teeth and bone structure can be seen in three dimensions. This helps the dentist plan implant treatment, for instance, more precisely.
Digital intraoral scanning
Instead of traditional impression materials, the teeth can be scanned digitally, and the scanned data can be sent straight to the laboratory.
A modern dental laboratory
When a clinic has its own laboratory or a close digital connection to one, the dentist and the technician can work together quickly. This is especially important for crowns, bridges, veneers and extensive implant work.
Microscope dentistry

Separate surgical facilities

4. It pays to know the implant brand and the materials
A cheap implant is not automatically a good buy. If an implant is going to be in your mouth for years, you should at least know which implant is being fitted, who manufactures it and whether you will receive documentation for it.

5. Safety comes before price
This is perhaps our most important principle. SmileGeorgia Pro™ does not want to send a client to an unknown clinic simply because a cheap implant offer appears online.
Dental care is healthcare. That is why, before a major treatment decision, matters such as the dentist’s assessment, the treatment plan, the materials to be used, the costs and the aftercare must be clarified. In particularly demanding cases, a hospital environment, anaesthesia or the involvement of other medical professionals may also be needed.
The cheapest option is not our goal. A suitable and well-founded option is.
6. How SmileGeorgia Pro™ works
Travelling for dental care should not begin with buying a flight and hoping for the best. We proceed differently.
- You tell us about your situation. Tell us what problems you have with your teeth and what kind of treatment you are looking for. If you have X-ray or 3D images, they can be used to support a preliminary assessment.
- The clinic assesses your situation. A suitable dentist reviews your information. If necessary, a remote consultation is arranged before the trip.
- You receive a preliminary treatment plan. The aim is for you to understand as well as possible what will be done, why it is being done, how long the treatment will take and what it is estimated to cost. The final treatment plan can only be confirmed after the dentist has examined you on site.
- We plan the treatment trip. We can help you find a suitable hotel, transfers and other practical support in Tbilisi.

8. Georgia is not right for everyone — and that is important to say too
We do not want to persuade every Nordic patient to travel to Georgia for dental care. For minor treatment, travelling may not make financial sense. If you need only a normal check-up or a small filling, for example, your own local dentist may be a clearly more practical option.
But if you are facing several implants, All-on-4 or All-on-6 treatment, several crowns or bridges, extensive aesthetic treatment or a full-mouth rehabilitation, the price difference can be so large that the option is at least worth looking into. Looking into it does not mean you have to buy anything.
